March 8th 2005 BLET Division 236 met and 8 members total VOTED on a new Undisturbed Rest Agreement.
8 men have decided what is best for you.

How can this be, you say.
You can thank Article 41 B of the BLET bylaws.
Here is how it works. The General Chairman mails a copy of the proposed agreement to our Local Chairman. Per bylaws, he must put it up for vote at next division meeting. Well it just so happened, our local chairman received this proposed agreement 24 hours before the meeting so NO notification was posted for the general Membership awareness of any such vote.

I was impressed everyone was ready to vote after only being read the synapses and Q&A. No one seemed interested in reading the agreement. Not that any copies were available for the attending members anyway.

Few mandate for ALL. Article 41b needs amended or abolished.

This can be started on a division level by way of "resolutions to be considered" per Section 34 of BLET BYLAWS. Don't overlook Section 36 submitting in correct format and time frame. Other methods include section 4 A of BYLAWS
